BEST TV SHOW (EPISODIC) - REEL TIME; BATANG HALAU (Philippines)
As a docu-drama, Reel Time: Batang halau features different stories of the Halau people in Sabah, Malaysia. Halau which means “driven away” in Bahasa-Malay are persons without any documents to prove their identity and nationality. Majority of them are Filipinos who left the southern islands of the Philippines to escape armed conflict and poverty. They recount the hardships they face as stateless persons in a foreign country, and their dreams of having a formal education and recognition of their identity.

BEST FILM - A MOTHER’S STORY (Philippines)
Directed by John-D Lazatin, “A Mother’s Story” is a movie showing the trials of an illegal OFW mother who returns home and discovers that she has become a stranger to her own family. It tackles the social costs of migration, as well as the problem of irregular migration faced by thousands of Filipinos in the United States.

BEST DOCUMENTARY - TNT (USA)
This documentary show gives an insight on the lives and problems of irregular Filipinos or so called TNTs in the US. It chronicles the continuing struggle of the “Florida 15”, a group of Filipino workers who claim that they are victims of human trafficking by their Filipino employer who owns a recruitment and employment company. These seasonal workers from Miami, Florida tell their story of survival as they continue to seek justice.
